1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Catmato ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Unattached Limited ("we," "us," or "our"), the developer of Catmato.
2. Description of Service
Catmato is a Pomodoro-style focus timer. As you complete focus sessions you earn coins and grow a collection of hand-felted cats.
- Run focus and break timers;
- Earn coins by focusing and spend them in the in-app shop (for example, to rent garden actions for your cats);
- View your focus statistics and timeline;
- Optionally block distracting apps using Apple's Screen Time, and use the "Mindful Pause" friction screen;
- Optionally upgrade to "Catmato Pro" to unlock all cats and premium stats.
3. Eligibility
By using the App, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, or have your parent or guardian's consent to do so;
- You will use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
4. Subscriptions, Purchases, and Refunds
4.1 Catmato Pro
"Catmato Pro" is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) and as a one-time lifetime purchase. Pro unlocks all cats and premium statistics. Prices are shown in the App before purchase and may vary by region and over time.
4.2 Auto-Renewal
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current paid period continues until it expires. Payment is charged to your Apple ID and managed by Apple; we do not process or store your payment details.
4.3 Coins and Virtual Items
Coins are an in-app virtual currency earned by focusing and used to unlock in-app items. Coins and unlocked items have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law.
4.4 Refunds
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policies and applicable law.
5. App Blocking & Screen Time
The optional App Blocking feature uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls & Managed Settings) framework and works only on your device. We do not control, and cannot guarantee, that it will block every app or prevent every distraction, and you can disable it at any time. The apps you select are handled by Apple's framework and are not visible to us.
6. Acceptable Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent permitted by law;
- Circumvent purchase verification, the coin system, or usage limits;
- Transmit malware or interfere with the operation of the App;
- Use bots or automated means to abuse the App.
7. Intellectual Property
The App and all associated software, artwork, cat designs, graphics, logos, sounds, and functionality are owned by Unattached Limited and protected by applicable law. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use.
8. Third-Party Services
Catmato relies on third-party services, including:
- Apple — app distribution and billing;
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase-entitlement management;
- Supabase — stores the feedback you choose to send us.
These providers act as our processors and may use your data only to perform these services for us. They are also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for details.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that the App will meet your expectations or improve your productivity.
10. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Unattached Limited and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms or any third-party rights.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms.
- Your right to use the App will cease immediately;
- Provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 7–11) will survive;
- Unused coins or in-app items may be forfeited upon termination for cause, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms by revising the Effective Date above and providing notice where appropriate. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation and, where required, resolved through arbitration or the competent courts.
